The region has a propitious coastal area suitable to accommodate tourist development projects and host sites and interiors for authentic tourism: mountain tourism, rural tourism, national parks, offering potentials and varied  advantages, which include: 

• Endemic rich forests (Fauna and Flora). 
• Harmonious coexistence of coastal mountains and the forest. 
• The region has two National Parks in Al Hoceima and Tazekka in the region of Taza, established to protect exceptional fauna and flora richness. Covering a surface area of land and sea of 48 000 hectares. Al Hoceima National Park has more than 500 vertebrate species, over 165 species of birds including osprey, represented in one of the largest settlements worldwide, 86 species of fish, and 250 plants. Tazekka National Park, covering a surface area of 12 000 hectares, houses a unique cedar forest and Jbel Tazekka, which dominates the region's top 1 980 m 
• Existence of several sites for tourism in mountain: Issaguen resorts - Tizi Ifri - Azila - Taghzout as well as beaches and areas of tourist interest as: Cala Iris Tores, Bades, Espalmadero, Asfiha, Souani, Bab Bouder ... 

Beyond this Sectoral potentialities , the region is characterized by a large diverse cultural heritage, Moussems, festivals, Souks, archaeological sites ..., a craft varied activity (carpets, traditional weaving, pottery ...). 

The capacity of the region is estimated to 2714 beds with 44 ranked institutions.
